TdP mobile town. Modernity and convenience for visitors

The organization of the Tour de Pologne is a huge undertaking. The centerpiece of each stage is the mobile town of the race at the finish line of each stage. The way it is built is innovative in the scale of Polish sport.

Timing and good logistics are key. The equipment that stands at the finish line in Bukowina Tatrzańska on Saturday must already be in Cracow on Sunday. And it has to be there from the early hours, because, after all, the Tour de Pologne is not only about professionals. It’s also the Junior cycle, it’s a meeting place for cycling fans, who want to follow the stage events from here. The mobile town has to move rapidly and spread out in subsequent cities.

PEŁEN ZAKRES USŁUG

– When thinking about the finish line of the Tour de Pologne, we have to combine many worlds. First of all, for the fans, we have a podium zone. This is a novelty in this year’s race. We replaced the decorative shell with a modern trailer, which turns into a folding stage 13 meters wide. Before the stage winners appear on it, fans can follow the course of the rivalry on three large screens,” says Adam Siluta, Lang Team marketing director, who during the Tour de Pologne is precisely responsible for organizing the finish area. It is worth mentioning that the largest of the screens is as much as 5 meters wide.

This is the first of four trailers that Promokraft is supplying to the Tour de Pologne finish line. The second – a two-story one – is the work center for journalists. Its official partner is Zondacrypto. It houses about 30 workstations for media covering the race. They have current satellite access to the Internet, power and, of course, the Tour de Pologne broadcast. All in comfortable, air-conditioned conditions.

The semi-trailer is multifunctional – in addition to the press office, there is also a modern commentary booth, from which this year’s race is commented for Polish Television by Piotr Sobczynski and Bartosz Huzarski, a Lang Team mini-office and a center for issuing accreditations.

The third fold-out trailer is the so-called VIP Club, whose partners are Soudal and Totalizator Sportowy. From here the race is watched by guests, partners and family of the Tour de Pologne. Top-quality catering is provided on board by Body Chief. Another undoubted attraction is the terrace from which VIP Club guests can follow the final meters of the stage. This mobile zone is usually set up flush with the finish line, so there is no better place to admire the victories of the Tour de Pologne heroes.

The fourth major finishing point is a commentary trailer with booths for foreign television.

The entire project is modeled on the biggest races on the UCI World Tour calendar, most notably the Tour de France. – Anyone who comes to the finish line of the Tour de Pologne will see the innovative dimension of organizing a major sporting event. Year after year, we develop our offer for riders, guests, journalists. What is very important, we focus on safety. All trailers are very functional. They can also be easily and quickly set up. Their weight and stability also give confidence during extreme weather events, which can never be ruled out. In short, we are ready for any circumstances,” assures Adam Siluta.
